How to Find Us:

Directions from Southern Vermont:

Take Route 30 north to intersection with Route 149. Turn left (west) onto Route 149 and proceed into Granville, NY.  At this point, the road becomes known as “Main Street”. Immediately past blinking light turn left onto Church Street, Chamber of Commerce will be on your right as you turn onto Church Street. Proceed on Church Street past the Methodist Church on right, to Water Street on right. Turn right and the Museum will be straight ahead. Parking available in front of museum.

Directions from Rutland, VT:

Take Route 4 west to Route 22A and follow directions from Northern Vermont.

Directions from Northern Vermont:

Take VT Route 22A South, into New York State, to blinking light at Junction with Route 22. Go left on 22 (south) to intersection at stop light at junction with Route 149. Bear left (at light) onto Church Street (County Route 26). McDonald’s will be on your left as you pass onto Church Street. Follow Church Street passing playing fields and Telescope Furniture Company on your right; proceed until you cross a small bridge then turn left on Water Street. The museum will be immediately ahead. 
OR
Take Route 30 South to Poultney. In Poultney take Route 31 south to Granville where you will merge with North Street. Proceed to blinking light at intersection with Main Street. Turn right and immediately left onto Church Street. Stay on Church Street; past the Methodist Church on right. Water Street will be on right, turn onto Water Street and museum will be immediately ahead of you. 

Directions from the South in New York (Salem, Cambridge):

Take Route 22 north to intersection with Route 149. Turn right at stoplight onto Church Street (McDonald’s will be on your left as you turn onto Church Street). Proceed on Church Street, past playing fields and Telescope Furniture on your right, through intersection at Potter Avenue and across a small bridge. Water Street will be on your left. Turn onto Water Street and museum will be immediately ahead.

Directions from the West (Hartford):

Take Route 149 east to stoplight at intersection with Route 22. Go through intersection (McDonald’s will be on your left). You are now on Church Street. Go past playing fields and Telescope Furniture on your right, through intersection at Potter Avenue and cross small bridge and turn left onto Water Street. The museum will be straight ahead. 

Directions from Northern New York (Whitehall):

Take Route 22 south to intersection with Route 149. Turn left at stoplight (keep McDonald’s on your left). Follow Church Street passing playing fields and Telescope Furniture Company on your right; proceed until you cross a small bridge, then turn left on Water Street. The Slate Valley Museum will be immediately ahead.

Directions from I-87 Exit 20 (Adirondack Northway) and Glens Falls, NY:

FROM THE NORTH: Turn left at end of ramp. Turn left at stoplight on to Route 9. 
FROM THE SOUTH: Turn left at end of ramp on to Route 9. 
FROM Route 9/GLENS FALLS: proceed north on Route 9 to the intersection of Route 149. Turn right. Take Route 149 approximately 13-14 miles to Fort Ann and the intersection with Route 4. Turn left on Route 4 and travel 4 miles to intersection of Route 22. Turn right on Route 22. Follow directions for Northern New York (Whitehall).
